Resources To Find Incident Case Studies

Instructions for Using the Resources

There are two ways to find NIOSH reports

Searching by Keyword

To find a report, choose "Search by keyword" then type in the related keyword for your paper. The term "ladder" is used for this example. Tip: try to use only one or two words at a time.

Press Search and review the results of your search to find a relevant report.

Click the title of a report to view it.

Once you are on the report page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Read the full report" to get the most information as possible.

Using the Fire Fighter Fatality Map

Make sure the "NIOSH" Investigations box is checked.

Choose other desired data from relevant drop-down menus. The map will automatically update. The blue pins indicate a completed NIOSH Investigation.

Click on a pin. A small information box will pop-up, click in the box that says "Report" to load the full report.
