What are Open Educational Resources?

Open Educational Resources (OER) are educational materials that are available through the public domain or with Creative Commons' Licenses that generally have less restrictions that other copyrighted works.  

OER items can be textbooks, lessons, articles, non-textbook monographs, tests, and other materials.
