Only journals and series that appear to provide stable open-access to current issues, have multiple issues available for use, and appear to plan to continue to be available in an open manner are included. Journals that require subscriptions to current issues are not included.

Geosphere is an open access, online-only journal that targets an international audience and publishes high-quality research results from all fields of the geosciences. It particularly seeks papers that take advantage of the electronic format. Full-text available for all issues.

All aspects of paleontological research are welcome in this journal: from the study of vertebrates to trace fossils, from plants, pollen and spores to communities and ecosystems, from the study of processes of decay to the formation of fossils.
